Full Plate Farm Collective
In 2005, Remembrance Farm, Stick and Stone Farm and Three Swallows Farm came together with a shared vision for building community, farming with integrity, and growing high quality food with fair prices for all involved. The product of this collaboration is the Full Plate Farm Collective, a multi-farm organic CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) that has been serving the Ithaca, Trumansburg and Danby communities for 15 years.
Buying a share in the CSA means that once a week, up to nine months a year, members receive an abundant assortment of local produce. Members also have the opportunity to visit the farms’ U-pick gardens and to join “side dish” CSAs with other local businesses.
Since its inception, Full Plate has cultivated a direct food-to-consumer relationship, allowing members to build meaningful connection with their food source and community. In return, the farmers enjoy security knowing the food they grow has a guaranteed market.
Today, the partnership, a collaboration between the founding farms, the Youth Farm Project at Three Swallows Farm and a small network of other local growers, grows over 50 acres of vegetables, sharing them with the community through 500 summer and 300 winter shares.
